Atta Impact Capital Invests in Albedo Solar to Advance Renewable Energy Adoption in Guatemala

Guatemala City, Guatemala; January, 2025. Albedo Solar was founded to combat climate change while fostering job creation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Central America. The company facilitates access to solar energy for SMEs, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and high-impact businesses—including women-led and youth-led enterprises—struggling with high electricity costs.

Albedo Solar provides high-quality solar installations with accessible financing options that cover 90-100% of the initial costs. Clients repay these investments over a period of three to four years through fixed monthly payments, which are comparable to their existing electricity expenses. This model enables businesses to achieve up to an 85% reduction in energy costs over a period exceeding 22 years, yielding a sixfold return on investment and enhancing overall net profitability by approximately 9%. The resulting financial relief promotes business sustainability, minimizes environmental impact, and drives job creation.

The company has a robust project pipeline exceeding $12 million USD for 2025 and is experiencing annual sales growth of 2-3x. Operating in a region characterized by high electricity costs and limited financing options for SMEs pursuing sustainability initiatives, Albedo Solar offers a scalable and sustainable solution to a pressing economic and environmental challenge. By combining accessible financing with high-quality solar installations, Albedo empowers businesses to achieve energy independence while significantly reducing their carbon footprint.
